Survival Selling in a Bad Economy

January 22, 2009 by Pat

Surviving a Bad Economy- “Live to Fight Another Day in Sales”
makes an often overlooked point for people who sell, “Complicated problems are often coated with simplicity in the way they are solved.” You will find a list of practical ideas like: “Wake up earlier. Work longer. Exercise more. Make the extra call. Read another sales book. Get mean. Get mad. Accept nothing but a complete and total victory.”

As an INTJ, if I follow this advice, which I do and will, there also has to be, “Carve out a little more quiet time.”

What do you think? What else would be something simple to include in your sales and marketing in a down economy? Add you comment.

    Pat,

Thanks for linking to my recent article. It is also great to find your blog. I’m very interested in your approach as I am an INTJ, too. I guess there are more of us out there than I thought! 🙂

    Thanks Again,

Great question, Pat. Something simple and essential to marketing in ANY economy is to “meet the people” and connect them. Which you are so good at!

We all want to have fun, feel connected to others and be where the good energy is, to feel supported and included…we all want that.

So, if you can be the “organizer” of that, if you can bring people together, create a fun, supportive community of appreciation and sharing…then you will be a leader drawing out the positive in everyone. That’s attractive!

    Aloha,
    Eleanore
