There are so many resources available to women who own small businesses. It’s hard to find what would be a good use of time and the most affective way to spend our limited resources. I love this article for the fact that it helps cut through all that giving me/others ideas and suggestions of what to use. As always, thank you for a great post. :)))

It’s fantastic that there are so many more resources for women in business these days. For the past couple of decades the number of women in small businesses has been growing at a fairly fast clip. But even now, inevitably women do not always have the same resources open to them as men. Thanks for highlighting these different organizations. I was a member of NAFE for a number of years, and not only found it helpful in terms of networking, but it helped to validate me as a business owner. Things have certainly changed in the past 20 yrs, but there’s still plenty of room for growth. Thanks Patricia.

Patricia, So do I… LOL

It’s great how much money is being spent all over the world to support women in business.
We are supposedly equal by law in Sweden but still women are being paid less for the same job.
The Swedish government now has a program to get more women as board members. They are interested in me so I will have a look at it.
A friend of mine is an ambassador to promote women starting their own businesses.

Pat and Adrianna,
This is a good resource for women–and yes, handy to have it all in one place. Thanks!
Jeannette Paladino says
Pat – thanks for this invaluable list. I was familiar with several, but not all of these organizations. There are also programs at the city and state level. In New York City the program is called Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). Here is the link for Program Information.

Catarina, I’ve found that often times in the USA, when we say women don’t get paid as much as men, it’s actually because they work less hours at the same job or don’t produce as much as men. I’m NOT saying things are all equal. Just that the devil is in the details.
PatriciaWeber says
Yes Bethany, it seemed so appropriate to feature the guest blogger when the list is so complete.

Great point about checking your LOCAL resources Jeannette! Thanks.
