With the approaching publication of my upcoming book, Communication Toolkit for Introverts, it is an exciting time.
First, the launch date, because of the publishers organizational changes, is moved from April 29 to May 29. That’s fine by me because my travel plans are so booked through May 20, it would be overwhelming to get some of the actions needed to get done by the original date.
Also, the working subtitle is now different: instead of Essential Skills for Everyday Business Success, the publisher’s editorial staff made a giant leap to Find Your Voice in Everyday Business Situations.
It seems to resonate more for the dilemma some introverts find in the workplace, even as I type it out.
Let me now tease you with the current version of the book cover. I’ve seen about six versions so far and I believe one more is on the way, but by far, this is absolutely eye catching.
It’s coming right up.

Now, I want to tease you, if you don’t already follow this blog, to at least follow for the upcoming series which will give you a glimpse of ideas to have your introvert voice heard like you want it to be!
The book before the final editing, is 200 pages. But if you know a publishers final editing process, it could go shorter or longer before the publishing date.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll want to check in for highly valuable content and give-aways that you are going to want.
Here are the few topics you can expect. This will not be the book content, instead new content, to keep me in integrity with my publishers contract. These are however, the book chapter titles which will be featured in the upcoming days:
Your Hard Working Wrench: Tighten or Open Up Your Listening – in the post you’ll discover how the benefits of listening can help your voice be heard
Your Head Band Light: Succeeding in the Business Meeting – this is one of my favorite chapters because it has some valuable contributions from other introvert writers or coaches. Real life anecdotes give it a charge.
Tape Measure Your Success for Powerful Presentations – while the chapter is one of the longest in the book, at 31 pages, the post will be within 500 to 750 words.
Are you noticing the tool theme yet? One of the editors on the first round suggested using some kind of metaphor in the titles to keep within the toolkit theme.

Do You Have an Axe to Grind? Use a Positive Approach for Workplace Conflict – in my experience, there are conflict avoiders in both introverts and extroverts. My style is more of assertive collaboration. What’s yours if you have a name for it?
On the Level to Negotiate with Success – just because the skill level increases, does not mean the chapter length does; this is just 19 pages. My husband turns me lose to buy cars and household items because it’s one of my strengths, usually.
Power Tools of Influence, Persuasion and Selling – if you think these skills are all the same, well, you’ll find out my take on it.

Love the new subtitle, “Find Your Voice in Everyday Business Situations” and I agree, it resonates better for problems most introverts struggle with in the business world.
